How often should I change the oil on my motorcycle?
On 2004 and newer motorcycles, the oil change interval will be at 5,000 miles. On 2003 and older motorcycles, the interval is 2,500 miles. Make sure you refer to a Genuine Harley-Davidson® Service Manual for the proper oil change procedure for your motorcycle. Get up-to-date maintenance information on your Harley-Davidson® or Buell® motorcycle.
What are the benefits to using Synthetic Oil?
Synthetic Oil, particularly SYN3® lubricant, is a multi-use oil, meaning that it can be used in the engine, primary chain case, and transmission. SYN3® lubricant is also designed to offer better wear protection at high temperatures, especially during out hot summers, and improved deposit control for a cleaner running engine, reduced oil consumption, high temperature detergency, and overall performance.
Is Screamin' Eagle® SYN3® lubricant a full synthetic oil?
SYN3® lubricant is a full synthetic motor oil.
If there is a small puncture in one of my tires, can I patch the tire and still ride on it?
When a tire gets punctured, people are often tempted to plug or patch the hole rather than inserting a tube into the tire or replacing the tire outright. You may "plug" a tire as an emergency road repair but should replace it as soon as possible.
