JumpStart

What is the JumpStart?: The JumpStart is a great tool to help get you comfortable shifting gears.

The bike is securely mounted to the JUMPSTART pad, preventing it from accidental damage or tipping over. The bike remains stationary the entire time.

That way, you can concentrate on the experience and the feeling rather than worrying about technique and obstacles.

With no training or experience, you can mount the bike and sit comfortably on the seat. Get a feel for the pegs and fire up the engine.

Don't be afraid to twist the throttle and experience the adrenaline of that one-of-a-kind Harley® engine rumble. Shift through the gears and imagine what it's like to cruise the highways on a motorcycle of your own.

Helmet:
A helmet is the most important piece of motorcycle gear you will invest in. A helmet is a very personal piece of gear. Consider buying a helmet vs. borrowing one, that way it is yours and it fits you perfectly and allows you to focus on learning to ride. This is something you will want help buying - so swing on by Red Rock Harley® before the course to get a proper fit. Our highly trained MotorClothes® Fit Specialist are here to properly fit you!

Helmet fit is so important that they will most likely suggest you wear the one you settle on around the dealer for about 15 minutes. It takes that long for the helmet to really let you know if it will be comfortable in the long run. Remember, helmets are not returnable once they leave the dealership, so take the time to find the right one. Plus, it will lead to more happy miles with smiles. (Pro Coach Tip @ The more helmet the better, full face is the best, followed by an open face helmet or 3/4 % open still provides good protection if you feel too cooped up in a full face. Half helmets, while very popular, offer the least amount of protection.)
